FIRE THEORY



1.       What is fire? Ans. Fire is chemical reaction between 3 elements Heat,Fule, & oxygen.
2.       What are the sources of heat? Ans. Sun,
3.       From where do you get oxygen? In the air 21% of the air is oxygen.
4.       What is fuel? Anything that can be burn.
5.       Example of fuel? Wood, paper, flammable, liquid, metal, gas etc.
6.       How many classes of fire are there? 6
7.       Name of the classes of fire? A-      Solid things that can burn

B-      Flammable liquid that can burn.

C-      Flammable gases (European)

D-      Metals

E-      Cooking oil, butter, lard, fats.
8.       Color code of extinguisher? Water-red, foam-cream, powder-blue, co2-black,wet chemical-yellow.
9.       Which extinguisher is used in all class of fire except class D fire? DCP & CO2
10.   Which is the best extinguisher you can use on live electric fire? CO2(Carbon-dioxide)
11.   Which extinguisher can be used on class F? WET CHEMICAL
12.   What is co2? It is a gas, it is very cold & freeze and makes big noise when you operate. Nozzle is broad & big
13.   Which extinguisher have got gauge? Water, form, DCP & Wet chemical
14.   Which extinguisher doesn’t have gauge? Co2
